Harley-Davidson Launches X440 in India at Competitive Pricing

 Harley-Davidson has introduced the X440 motorcycle in India, offering three variants: Denim, Vivid, and S. The base Denim variant starts at Rs 2.29 lakh, while the top-spec S variant is priced at Rs 2.69 lakh.

Powering the Harley-Davidson X440 is a 440cc, air-/oil-cooled, single-cylinder engine that delivers 27hp at 6,000rpm and 38Nm of torque at 4,000rpm. The engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox. The motorcycle features a steel trellis frame, a 43mm USD fork, and twin shock absorbers for suspension. Braking is handled by a 320mm front rotor with standard dual-channel ABS.

With a seat height of 805mm and a weight of 190.5kg, the X440 offers a comfortable riding position. It comes with a 13.5-litre fuel tank and provides ample ground clearance at 170mm. The bike is equipped with MRF Zapper Hyke tires, with sizes of 100/90-18 (front) and 140/70-17 (rear).

The X440 is available in three variants, each with its own distinctive features. The base Denim variant comes with wire-spoke rims and minimal badging. The mid-tier Vivid variant offers alloy wheels and dual-tone paint options. The top-spec S variant boasts diamond-cut alloy wheels, machined engine cooling fins, 3D badging, and a color TFT dash with Bluetooth connectivity for navigation and notification alerts. All variants come with a standard USB charging port.

The Denim variant is offered in Mustard Yellow, while the Vivid variant is available in Metallic Thick Red or Metallic Dark Silver. The top-spec S variant is exclusively offered in a Matte Black color.

In terms of pricing, the X440 Denim variant starts at Rs 2.29 lakh, with subsequent variants increasing by Rs 20,000. Therefore, the Vivid variant is priced at Rs 2.49 lakh, and the top-spec S variant is priced at Rs 2.69 lakh. Comparatively, the Harley-Davidson X440 is approximately Rs 35,000 more expensive than the popular Royal Enfield Classic 350, which is priced between Rs 1.93 lakh and Rs 2.21 lakh.
